Try reading the passage, following along the highlighted bar, and see how well you comprehend the material. This is what it's like to read with an eye tracking disorder. The eyes dance around the text with no real pattern.
If you have a child who struggles with reading, if you've tried tutoring or learning center appointments, if you've tried therapies, IEP's, 504's or even medications to help, but your bright child is still behind in their learning or reading, then please read this E Report - it might be just what you've been waiting for.
Here's what one of the parents of our past patients had to say about working with us...
“As he was leaving 2nd grade, our son was unable to read and was tested at kindergarten level.
After working on vision therapy over the summer, he was able to improve by 10 reading levels in the first two months of 3rd grade.
His teacher reports that they look for this level of improvement over and entire school year.
She said SHE HAS NEVER HAD A STUDENT PROGRESS SO QUICKLY!
Thank you Dr. Charron, and the staff at Charron Vision Therapy!”
Imagine this...
A professional photographer forced to use the camera in a 2002 flip phone for a wedding client.
A marathon runner forced to run a race in flip flops.
A cyclist forced to pedal barefoot.
A Lamborghini with a 1995 dodge caravan engine.
Ok, you probably get the picture. The basic idea is that for most of what we do, we need certain equipment... certain tools... and going without these tools can disrupt a task, destroy a job, restrict performance, and cause frustration!
Now think about your child - who is fed up with reading (or seems to be headed that way), and simply consider that he/she doesn't have the tools to read well.
A primary "tool" to reading well is visual skill.
Not just "seeing clearly" but being able steady the eyes together and to track the eyes across lines and lines of text.
Four year old's don't have the visual skill to track their eyes across paragraphs of text. Especially with smaller, more condensed text.
But by the age of about seven or eight, your child should have the necessary visual skill to read through paragraphs without a lot of effort and frustration.
Here's one mother of an eight year old who became a better reader after he developed his visual skill... Click the video to listen to her story.

If you've wondered why your child - who may have the intellect, the vocabulary, the motivation, and the listening skills of someone their age - still has trouble with reading, well... now you have a potential answer.
Most of the hundreds of kids we see in our clinic DO have normal (and often superior) intellect, a love of learning, and have been given many opportunities in the traditional education settings, yet don't progress until their vision problem is corrected properly.
Once they begin to get their eyes working for them, instead of against them, they often start to see improved confidence, less frustration, and it's at this point, they start to get some momentum in their academic lives.
